THE NECK DATES TO 66 BUT THE PICKUPS ARE PRE CBS BLACK BOBBINS & THEY SOUND WELL,... LIKE PRE CBS BLACK BOBBIN FENDER SINGLE COILS! THE PATINA IS PERFECT. THIS KIND OF PLAYER WEAR IS ONLY FOUND ON INSTRUMENTS DEEMED WORTHY IN TONE AND PLAYABILITY TO SEE YEARS OF GIG LOVE. TO ME THAT'S THE REAL TEST. SHE DOES HAVE ROUTING UNDER THE GUARD. SO SHE IS NOT A COLLECTORS PIECE MEANT TO SIT IN A CORNER. IF YOU WANT SICK FAT VINTAGE FENDER TONE AND PLAYABLITY THEN THIS IS YOUR GUITAR THE TUNERS ARE TIGHT STEADY AND TRUE. THE FRETS ARE EXCELLENT. HAVE I MENTONED THE PICKUPS SOUND RIDICULOUS?! THE GUARD IS MY FAVORITE FENDER GUARD OF ALL TIME,.. THE DEEP RED, RED "TORTOISE SHELL" RATHER THAN THE BROWN. IT GOES SO WELL WITH THESE LIGHTER COLORED SHORT SCALES. THE NECK IS THE LONGER MUSTANG SCALE NOT THE SHORTER STUDENT LENGTH. THE BRIDGE SEEN IN THE PICS IS THE ONE THAT CAME WITH IT WHEN I GOT HER SO I POPPED THAT OFF AND PUT A NEW ONE ON BUT THEN I TOOK THE 66 MUSTANG BRIDGE OFF MY JAGUAR & THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH HER.
