This lady began her charmed life as a hand selected, light, resonant 3 plus pound piece of Alder. It was hand cut
and routed in the Revelator shop in the Swamps of South Jersey to early 60’s specs. It’s not “close”, it’s right.
The color of a 1957 Chrysler Desoto this early 60’s style T~Caster replica reeks of days gone by. It’s armed with
a couple of Peter Florance’s own Voo Doo pickups that I carefully weathered to look forty plus years in age. I used
the TE 60 Grey and a TE Neck and yes, they do sound like something you’d find from some mojo medicine man in
some dark corner of the Bayou. These pups kill in this guitar. They provided perfect output and dead on tone for a
“60’s” Tele style. The neck is superlative. It’s a custom ordered Brazilian covered slabboard. I had this neck’s back
profile made exactly to early 50’s Fender NoCaster specs. and then hand profiled it to feel even more accurate than
the shop delivered. It’s fitted with Dunlop 6105s and it feels righteous. It has just the right amount of girth. I didn’t stop
on this one till I made it feel like my favorite well oiled and used baseball glove in my hand. Once the real clay dots
were vintaged they became the icing on the cake. I love the way the shell pink contrasts against the aged 3 ply greenguard.
The white undercoat, the flat top knobs, and the nicotine from too many bar gigs ...it’s all there. A top hat switch tip, “Pat. Pend.”
bridge featuring threaded early sixties saddles, and vintaged nickel kluson style tuners complete probably my best Revelator
Telecaster style guitar ever.......E
