Ok E, I got some real personal time with the strat in the studio yesterday. First off I need to tell you my experience with getting the guitar set up. I brought the guitar to my favorite tech at We Buy Guitars here on long island. The place is loaded with vintage stratocasters. When the guitar was ready I went over there and set the guitar right next to a real deal 62 fiesta red. The relicing looks so convincing it's spooky. On top of that the guitar sounded just as good if not better then the 62 acoustically. So when I brought the guitar home I played it through my warmed up blackface deluxe. The guitar flat out kills just like you promised. It rings, its got bells, and sustains for days. My friend said it's "like a circus", which was his way of saying there was a whole lot of interesting tones going on with the guitar. I made a few changes with the electronics. First I ditched that .1uf tone cap. I asked you to put in. It killed all the interesting high end that this guitar projects. Then I installed a vintage taper audio pot in the volume position which allows the high end to stay in tacked but scoops out the midrange so I can go from screaming leads to beautiful scooped out sparkling cleans. I wish you could hear this guitar now. Everything I asked for you delivered. This Revelator is a Revelation!! Thanks a million E! I'm sure you'll have my business again in the future. - Chris L.
