This instrument was constructed at the special request of Brad Fernquist. Brad is currently the lead guitarist for Johnny Reznick and The Goo Goo Dolls.
His extensive resume includes Carlos Santana, Paul Stanley, The New Radicals, Fast Ball & Lisa Marie Presley just to name a few as well as movie sound track
work and some original stuff. More than that he’s a real nice Cat and an excellent player. This piece started with a super light, resonant, 3.4 lb. Alder body.
After the yellow was applied I shot it with the original Olympic White Lucite Nitro lacquer. No clear coat was applied to accurately emulate those Oly Whites
that were shot without it and hence never ambered. He requested a mid 1960’s “C” and sent his specs. The neck is hand shaped and contoured featuring an
extra dark, extra sweet slab of Rosewood. The clay dots are almost as dark as the board. For pickups Brad favors the Fralin Vintage Hots with the steel base
plate at the bridge pickup. I can certainly see why as they sounded tremendous in this guitar. I especially dug the thick yet transparent warm tones I was getting
through the neck pickup. The green guard looks so perfect against the stark Olympic White. The instrument ended up weighing about 6.75 lbs. & sounds loud and
clear even unplugged. If it wasn't for the steel inertia block I think it would float...... E
